BIO
On August 16, 1963 in Gainesville, Georgia, a seven pound eight ounce boy was born to Tandy and Frances Kerns. They named him Clint William Kerns. Clint, after Tandy's boss, Clint Puckett, and William because it was Tandy's middle name. Tandy and Frances were both in thier forties and Clint would be the only child they had. From the time he was two weeks old he was raised in church. At the time of his birth his parents were attending Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. They would continue there until Clint was around the age of five when they moved thier membership to Temple Baptist Church where Dr. James Ransom was the Pastor.

At the age of 10 during Vacation Bible School, Clint went to the altar because several of his friends went. Clint made a profession and was baptized, but was not really saved. But on October 21, 1979 at the age of 16 while walking down the street at the Gold Mining festival in Dahlonega, Georgia, the Holy Spirit put Clint under conviction. He left the festival, went home and that night at Temple Baptist Church Clint gave his heart and life to the Lord Jesus.

A few months later in December, Clint surrendered to the call to Preach and on January 16, 1980 he preached his first sermon. On October 21, 1980 Clint's Dad, Tandy, had a massive heart attack and went home to be with the Lord. Clint graduated from Johnson High School in 1981 and went to work at the Gainsville Iron Works from where his Dad had retired several years eariler. Clint started dating a young lady named Tiana Reed but a year later tragedy would strike again as Tiana was discovered to have acute lukeiama. On January 15 1983 at the tender age of 16, Tiana went home to be with the Lord.

In June of 1983 Clint would have his first date with a young lady named Donna Ballew. Immediately Clint and Donna fell in love and just a few short weeks later on July 4, Clint would ask Donna to be his wife. September 24, 1983 Donna Ballew would become Donna Kerns as she and Clint were married at Faith Baptist Camp in Resaca. They would move to Gainesville and attend Harmony Street Baptist Church where Willard Thomas was the Pastor and where Clint had been working with the choir since 1980. They stayed there for a year and after a six month stay in Orangeburg, SC they would move to Resaca Georgia where they have resided ever since.

December 20, 1986 God would bless their home with a daughter, Lydia Faith. Lydia is now grown and married to Joseph Taylor.
